Understand what employers can see
Updated August 14, 2026
Who has access
Employer admins see information only for their own organization, and their role or assigned program may limit what appears.
This visibility applies to employer-sponsored supervision. An unrelated employer cannot view your independent supervision relationships.
Supervisor and supervisee information
Employer admins with access can open your supervisor profile and may see Basic info, assigned Supervisees, Sessions, Credentials, and Experience. Credential information can include licenses and certifications, education, and supervision credentials.
On a supervisee profile, they may see contact and program details, the license the supervisee is seeking, assigned supervisors, and supervision-hour summaries. Motivo hours come from completed sessions. Off-platform and clinical hours are shown separately when the supervisee has added them.
Sessions, attendance, and notes
The employer portal provides a read-only Sessions view with Upcoming, Completed, Missed, and Cancelled tabs. Depending on access, employer admins can see the supervisor, supervisees, date, duration, session type, attendance, cancellation details, and submitted notes.
Session notes are available only when the employer's program settings and the admin's permissions allow them. Notes exports are not available for upcoming or cancelled sessions.
Employers cannot book, edit, start, or cancel supervision sessions from their portal. You and the supervisee manage those actions in your Motivo accounts.
Other information that stays separate
Employer admins can review administrative hours you log for their organization. They cannot edit or delete those entries.
Files under a supervision relationship's Documents tab do not appear in a general employer document area. Employer admins also cannot read a supervisor-supervisee conversation unless they are included as a participant in that conversation.
Keep attendance, notes, credentials, and administrative hours current because submitted information can flow into the employer's reports and exports.
