Reschedule a session
Updated August 14, 2026
You need an upcoming session, and supervisees do not have an Edit session action in their account.
Ask for a new time
Your supervisor must edit the booked session.
- Select Sessions and open the upcoming session.
- Note the current date, time, and whether it belongs to a repeating series.
- Open Messages and contact your supervisor.
- Suggest one or more times that work for you.
- Wait for the updated session to appear under Upcoming before treating the new time as confirmed.
Do not create a second booking for the same meeting unless your supervisor asks you to. Duplicate sessions can create separate reminders and attendance records.
Repeating sessions
Tell your supervisor whether the change applies to one occurrence or to the remaining series. A supervisor can edit a single session or this and upcoming sessions, depending on the recurrence settings.
Review future dates after the change. Updating a series can affect more than the next occurrence.
Close to the start time
If you can no longer attend, notify your supervisor as soon as possible. The self-service cancellation action is unavailable inside 24 hours of the scheduled start, but your supervisor still needs to know whether you will be absent.
A late change may be recorded as a late cancellation or no-show and may still be charged under the terms shown in your account.
Confirm the update
Open Sessions > Upcoming and check the final date and time. Calendar events are not guaranteed to update unless the connected calendar accepted the change, so use the Motivo session details as the current source.
