Apply to supervise through Motivo
Updated August 14, 2026
You can apply without signing in. If Motivo invited you to apply, use the link in that invitation so the application follows the correct path.
Complete the application
The application collects the information Motivo needs to understand your qualifications and supervision experience.
- Open the supervisor application and complete General with your contact information, location, experience dates, and resume.
- Select Continue.
- Complete Licenses & certifications. Add each current license or certification, including its state, type, number, dates, and any requested files.
- Complete Supervision credentials & telehealth training. Add applicable credentials and training documents.
- Complete Experience with the clinical approaches, populations, specialties, and settings that describe your work.
- Review your entries, then select Submit application.
Use your legal and professional information as it appears on your credentials. You can add a preferred name later in your Motivo account.
After you submit
The confirmation page says your application was received. Your application is added to the supervisor waitlist while Motivo considers current supervision needs. Timing depends on factors such as your state, license type, availability, and experience, so you may not receive the next email right away.
When Motivo is ready to move you forward, you will receive an email with a link to create or access your Motivo account and begin onboarding. Submitting the application does not make your profile visible in the supervisor directory.
If your application takes a different path
An invitation from Motivo may use Continue to onboarding instead of Submit application on the final step. Follow that button to begin onboarding immediately.
If the email address is already connected to an application, Motivo may send you a link to edit the existing application. Once an application has been reviewed, that edit link no longer changes it. Avoid starting another application with a different email unless Motivo asks you to do so.
