Choose your primary and conflict calendars
Updated August 14, 2026
You need at least one connected Google or Outlook account before these settings appear.
Choose where events are added
Your primary calendar is the one that receives new Motivo bookings.
- Select Settings > Calendar.
- Under Add events, open Select a calendar.
- Choose one calendar from a connected account.
- Select Save changes after reviewing the rest of the page.
Motivo adds newly booked sessions and intro calls to this calendar. If you reschedule or cancel in Motivo, the external event is updated. An edit made only on the external calendar does not update Motivo.
Only one calendar can receive events at a time. Changing the selection affects later bookings and updates; it does not copy older events to the newly selected calendar.
Choose which calendars block time
Conflict calendars tell Motivo when you are already busy.
- In the same Calendar page, find Check conflicts.
- Select each calendar that should be checked for double bookings.
- Clear any calendar that should not affect your Motivo availability.
- Select Save changes.
You can select multiple conflict calendars across Google and Outlook. A calendar may be both your primary calendar and a conflict calendar.
How the two settings work together
Motivo starts with Set your working hours, then removes existing Motivo bookings and busy events from the calendars under Check conflicts. It also applies Minimum notice and Buffer time before showing available times.
Selecting a primary calendar does not automatically select every calendar in that account for conflict checking. Review both sections after connecting a new account or adding a new calendar with your provider.
If a calendar is deleted or becomes unavailable at Google or Microsoft, it may disappear from Check conflicts. Choose another calendar and save your settings.
