When will I get paid?
Updated August 14, 2026
This timing applies to supervisors paid by Motivo through a verified Stripe Express account. In-house supervisors may be paid directly by their employer instead.
From a session to your Stripe balance
A session becomes eligible for payment after it is completed and its attendance record is submitted. Motivo allows a 24-hour grace period after the session ends so attendance and session details can be corrected.
After that grace period, eligible session funds are transferred to your connected Stripe account. A session is not ready for transfer when it is still upcoming, cancelled, incomplete, within the grace period, already paid, or has no attendee who qualifies for payment.
Your payout amount is based on the rate connected to that supervision work. It is separate from the amount an employer or supervisee may be charged, and it can vary by arrangement and session format.
Administrative hours
Eligible administrative hours follow a similar path. A record has a one-day grace period after it is created. During that time it may still be deleted if the product allows it. After the grace period, Motivo can transfer the associated funds to Stripe.
From Stripe to your bank
A transfer from Motivo and a bank payout are two different steps. Motivo first sends eligible funds to your Stripe Express balance. Stripe then groups available funds and deposits them according to the payout schedule on your connected account.
Because Stripe controls the deposit schedule and bank processing, there is no single Motivo deposit day that applies to every supervisor. Open Settings > Payment to view the estimated arrival date and current status in Stripe Express.
Manual or instant payouts started in Stripe follow Stripe's rules. They may not create a Motivo payout summary, even though the activity appears in Stripe.
If a completed item is missing, first confirm the grace period has passed and that Stripe shows no verification or bank-account issue. Then use the payout troubleshooting steps.
